This course examines the impact and role of farming in the agroecosystem. Lectures and case studies will be used to explore potential pathways of soil degradation, resource contamination from agricultural activities, site assessment of environmental risk associated with specific farm operations and the utilization of best management practices for the conservation of soil, water and other natural resources.
