This is a practical introductory course with an emphasis on working with dogs, cats, birds, and horses. Students will apply animal husbandry principles such as proper animal housing, sanitation, and quarantine protocols during their rotational kennel duty assignment. Basic restraint techniques, physical examination, and medicating skills are taught and practiced.
