This course continues to develop select pharmacological theory and the mathematics applied to utilize pharmaceutical agents in a veterinary clinical setting. The mode of action, mechanisms of absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion of drug classes commonly used in veterinary medicine will be discussed in how it affects each anatomical organ/structure/function of the body. Students will learn to accurately perform drug dose and fluid therapy calculations, and other applied clinical calculations.
