This course introduces practical application of veterinary radiography skills. Students will practice radiation safety, apply proper positioning techniques to produce diagnostic images while using analog and digital radiographic equipment on small and large animals, and utilize various restraint techniques as performed routinely in a veterinary hospital. Students will develop skills such as the proper placement and care of an intravenous indwelling catheter for sedated animals and will apply proper nursing care for animals during sedation and during their recovery period.
