This course provides an introduction to the field of infant and child mental health with a focus on understanding the factors which contribute to mental health and wellbeing in infants and children. Through an exploration of key biological, environments and social influences, students will gain a foundational understanding of the developmental trajectory of mental health during the early years. Students will develop a comprehensive understanding of the complexities of infant and child mental health and understand how to identify and support mental health in the early years.
