In this course, students will be introduced to the profession of Child Life and aspects of pediatric healthcare. Students will learn about theoretical foundations, assessment, preparation, play, coping, the therapeutic relationship, family-centred care, documentation, grief and loss, and the role of the Child Life Specialist within the interdisciplinary team.
