This course introduces culturally specific ways in which practices and technologies related to water have evolved and emphasizes climate and environmental justice. Global water challenges are examined to underscore the importance of clean and adequate water for healthy environments and communities. Steps towards addressing consequences of colonialism on the environment and Indigenous peoples in Canada will be discussed. The course will help students improve the effectiveness of their writing.
