The first half of the course introduces students to different registers of writing, along with a solid foundation in grammar. The second half focuses on discipline specific competencies, including writing legal briefs, writing academic research policy following proper APA usage; as well as being able to write factual, concise and accurate reports, and to effectively communicate publicly and in legal proceedings.
