In this course, students build on the journalistic skills developed in foundational courses, applying more in-depth and targeted methods to identifying and mining sources and researching news stories and features, as well as interviewing, pitching, writing and editing stories for publication. Students also learn the basics of covering key beats, such as politics, health, justice, business and sports.
