This philosophy course for majors introduces students to the field by connecting them with active philosophers and graduates. Students will read work discussing the purpose and value of philosophy, as well as works of contemporary philosophy from all areas of the discipline. This course will draw on the diverse faculty of the philosophy department to ensure that students are exposed to a wide range of philosophical approaches.
