This course introduces students to acting styles and techniques by focusing on how actors use bodies, voices, and movements during live theatrical performances. Students will collaborate in workshop and studios settings to explore, develop, and refine their acting skills. All acting methods in this course are taught for live theatre and performance experiences; the course does not teach on-screen acting methods. Students will also learn to think deeply about characters, playscripts, and performance concepts while also incorporating direction from their director, designers, and/or technicians similar to live theatre and performance in the professional industry.
