This intensive seminar offers an analysis of a selection of plays by William Shakespeare. In addition to textual analysis, the students will also be introduced to the stage history of the plays being considered, paying attention to the conditions of production. The course includes consideration of plays by Shakespeare currently on stage at the Stratford Festival; this two-week course is taught off-site in Stratford, Ontario.
