This is a required experiential learning course delivered in approved primary care veterinary practices in Ontario. The course comprises 8 weeks of the required 40 weeks of Phase 4. During the course, DVM students, under the supervision of a designated host veterinarian, provide veterinary health care services to the public. The course gives students the opportunity to integrate and apply the skills, knowledge, and attitudes learned from previous courses, further refine their problem-solving and communication skills, and enhance their ability to work as part of a team. A Fail, Pass, or Outstanding Pass grade will be assigned at the completion of the course.
