This course is designed to facilitate a deep understanding of the role, nature and value of critical thinking for teaching and learning (for both students and teachers). It explores definitions, concepts, logics, and pedagogies basic to critical thinking theory and practice. The distinctiveness of critical thinking in relation to other thinking skills and attitudes is explored as well: creative thinking, caring thinking, meta-cognition, etc.
