Indigenous Community Development introduces the foundational concepts and skills needed to engage with and develop wellness initiatives in Indigenous communities. This course will balance theoretical knowledge with applied activities and projects common to human service organizations. It will emphasize holistic relational approaches to community-led development and capacity building. Topics may include social and economic development, community planning and organizing, relationship building, rights-holder and stakeholder engagement, funding and grant writing, Indigenous leadership, and professional communications.
