A survey in English of selected works of such major figures in Greek literature as Homer, Aeschylus, Sophocles, Euripides, Aristophanes, Herodotus, Thucydides, and Plato. The course includes discussion of the influence of these and other works on the arts and literature of the world. Students may not hold credit for both CLAS 2612 and the former CLAS 3610 [3 credits]
