An exploration of common engineering algorithmic problem-solving approaches, focused primarily on numerical analysis problems. Students will develop the ability to evaluate, analyze, design, and implement a wide array of generally useful paradigms, for example solving linear and non-linear equations (linear algebra and root finding), curve fitting, numerical integration and differentiation, solving differential equations, and introduction to optimization and machine learning [4 credits]
