This course will use both neo-classical and feminist economic theory to explore how gender differences may lead to different economic outcomes for men and women, both within families and in the marketplace. Topics covered may include gender aspects of production (both inside and outside the household), leisure, marriage and divorce, fertility, childcare, education, migration, aging and development. Students may not hold credit for both ECON 2362 and the former ECON 2360 [3 credits]
