Students will explore various aspects of problem-solving in K-12 mathematics classrooms. The course will introduce the knowledge, processes and strategies involved in problem-solving as presented in curriculum, theory and research. Students will have opportunities to engage in collaborative problem-solving and be invited to reconsider their preconceived understandings of the role of problem-solving in mathematics teaching and learning [3 credits]
