This course reviews principles of human factors and ergonomics and explores the systematic application of human capabilities, limitations and behaviours with regard to the design of usable elements within specific environments. Emphasis is placed on the interactive nature of human-machine systems, the development of ergonomic models, and the techniques used to assess the design of modern work and living environments [3 credits]
