This course examines the social, economic and political contexts of work and the relations, rules and structures that shape the interactions between workers, employers and the state. Topics include workers' and management rights, the rights, obligations and functions of unions, the legal contexts of labour/management relations, and initiatives for increasing equity. Students may not hold credit for both LABR 2300 and the former LABR 3300 [3 credits]
