Systems microbiology integrates physiological information and functional genomics (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics) data, as well as large scale mutagenesis and chemogenomics to create models of the complex interactions within microbial cells to understand how a bacterial cell functions as an integrated whole. Applications to more complex microbial communities will also be discussed [3 credits]
