This clinical practice course provides students with the knowledge and skills to begin to manage pathological and high risk conditions of pregnancy, birth, and newborn care. The focus is on advanced assessment and intervention for clients requiring complex care during the childbearing year. This course will include content related to traditional Indigenous midwifery practices. This course is graded on a pass/fail basis [12 credits]
