This clinical practice course enables the student to apply knowledge and skills related to the management of more complex and emergency care scenarios in the clinical setting. The focus is on the role of the primary midwife regarding more independent management, consultation and transfer related to these conditions. The tutorial offers students the opportunity to reflect about and critically analyze clinical practice experiences and to share this analysis with their peers and instructors. This course includes content related to traditional Indigenous midwifery practices. This course is graded on a pass/fail basis [12 credits]
