This course is an introduction to community pharmacy practice with a focus on communication skills that are patient centered. The course provides opportunities to apply knowledge when completing patient assessments that will ensure positive patient outcomes. The process of prescription filling includes ensuring the legal requirements are met, minimizing errors, calculations and adverse drug reactions. Students will be introduced to drug information resources, adherence aids and physical assessment [4 credits]
