This course introduces students to the study of Spanish theater written by contemporary women writers. The course will explore how they use their work and the stage to denounce a contemporary Spanish society that needs to be reexamined. Analysis will underscore how these playwrights treat dis/similar subject matters: search for identity, gender, sexuality, relationships, patriarchal values, feminism, among others. The course will be taught in Spanish. All class readings and examinations are in Spanish [3 credits]
