This course will explore the concept, scope, and issues of international social work. Students will develop understanding and skills in the application of the models and approaches of international social work practice. This course will also explore the key concepts and theories of global migration and settlement and will examine how global migration policies are framed and operationalized. It will consider how social workers play roles in global migration policy formation and practice with displaced populations. Open to non-Social Work students with a minimum of 54 credit hours and with instructor permission [3 credits]
