Fundamental topics in the discipline of sanitary/environmental engineering are introduced. Topics include the design of municipal water distribution and wastewater collection systems; an introduction to water chemistry and water quality assessment; and design of physical and chemical treatment processes as they apply to water and wastewater treatment. A brief overview of storm water collection systems is also presented. Prerequisite(s): CHEM 146.3 and CE 315.3.
