The course introduces topics related to planning, management of congestion and safety on urban road networks. These include: urban transportation planning, capacity and delay analysis of signalized and unsignalized intersections; safety performance evaluation; traffic simulation and management; applications of intelligent transportation systems; economic appraisal of changes in the transport network. Prerequisite(s): GE 348.3 and CE 329.3
