The course introduces theories and practical aspects for performing road safety analyses with basic and advanced statistical techniques. These include: crash data analysis, development of safety performance functions, identification of crash hot spots, observational before-after studies, empirical Bayes and full Bayes methods, statistical software for road safety modeling. Restriction(s): Only open to students in in the College of Engineering. Permission of the instructor is required.
