Students will learn about the applications of the chemical principles discussed in first year courses that are used in the chemical industry, especially Saskatchewan industries. Areas of chemistry discussed may include water chemistry, complexation, ion exchange, surface chemistry, electrochemistry, gas absorption/adsorption, chemical extraction, thermodynamics, and materials characterization. Weekly hours: 3 Lecture hoursPrerequisite(s): CHEM 115.3 or CHEM 146.3; and one of MATH 110.3, MATH 123.3, MATH 125.3, MATH 133.4, or MATH 176.3
