Teaches descriptive statistics, data visualization, probability concepts, probability distributions, sampling distributions, and statistical inference - estimation and hypothesis testing. Spreadsheet-based statistical functions and/or computer programs will be used to demonstrate the concepts and theory and to analyze practical business situations. Weekly hours: 3 Lecture hoursPrerequisite(s): Foundations of Math 30, Pre-Calculus 30, or MATH 102. Note: Edwards students with credit for or seeking to take non-COMM statistics courses should refer to the programs section of the Catalogue as some courses can be used in place of COMM 104.3 and cannot be used as electives in the B.Comm. program.
