This hands-on course provides students with experience in multiple lab techniques common to cell biology using eukaryotic cells which includes tissue culture and fluorescence microscopy. Teams of students are guided to apply the scientific method to create their own hypothesis and experiment(s) using mammalian cells. This provides an authentic research experience and allows students to develop skills in tissue culture techniques, collaborative problem solving, analysis of original data, and strengthening scientific reporting skills. Weekly hours: 3 Practicum/Lab hoursPrerequisite(s): BMSC 220.3 and BMSC 240.3. Note: Students with credit for ACB 331.3 cannot take CPPS 331.3 for credit.
