Topics will be chosen from the following: Algebraic coding (linear block codes, cyclic codes, BCH codes, Reed-Solomon codes), Trellis coding (convolutional codes, trellis-coded modulations, Viterbi algorithm, soft-decision decoding). Turbo-like codes (turbo-codes, low-density parity-check codes, bit-interleaved coded modulation, the forward/backward algorithm, iterative decoding).
