This course will teach students the fundamentals of biophysical science as applied in riverine settings. It will begin by examining physical and biological processes that naturally occur in rivers, then layer on top of that understanding the influence of climatic variables (ice and evaporation) and human influences (river channel modification and contaminant loading). Restriction(s): Students must be registered in the Master of Water Security (M.W.S.) program or have permission of the instructor.
