A field course in a location with good outcrops of sedimentary rocks. Emphasis will be given to mapping and interpreting sedimentary rocks and the use of stratigraphic principles. Weekly hours: 3 Practicum/Lab hoursPrerequisite(s): GEOL 226.3, GEOL 245.3, GEOL 247.3, GEOL 258.3 and permission of the department. Note: There will be costs in addition to tuition fees. Students may take this course more than once for credit provided that the topics covered in each offering differ substantially.
