This course will explore the breadth and depth of theory, research, and application of self-compassion in sport and exercise as it pertains to health and wellness. The course will include lecture-based and activity-based learning, with an emphasis on providing students the opportunity to experience self-compassion and taking action towards positive mental health. Activity-based learning will involve participation in yoga-based physical activities and self-compassion guided meditations.
