An introduction to calculus and analytical reasoning. Topics include sequences and series; completeness of real numbers; limits and continuity in a single variable; differentiation and its basic properties; implicit differentiation; L'H么spital's rule; Newton's method; optimization; and introduction to Taylor series. This course introduces a number of fundamental concepts that will be useful in future courses in mathematics, statistics and other sciences. Weekly hours: 3 Lecture hours and 1.5 Practicum/Lab hours Prerequisite(s): Calculus 30 Note(s): This course is recommended for students intending to major in mathematics and related disciplines.
