This second course in thermodynamics focuses on air-standard analysis of gas power cycles, exergy analysis, and one-dimensional compressible flow. The internal combustion engine and gas turbine engine are introduced from a thermodynamics perspective. Additional topics may include refrigeration systems, chemical equilibrium, reacting mixtures, and combustion. Weekly hours: 3 Lecture hoursPrerequisite(s): ME 227.3 and ME 335.3 (taken).
