Provides students with an exposure to advanced engineering materials and their applications, including metals, ceramics, polymers, and composites, not covered in the core Mechanical Engineering materials courses. It covers broad classes of advanced materials and their applications including the mechanical, electrical, thermal, optical, and magnetic aspects. Surface engineering is also introduced. Prerequisite(s): ME 324.3. Prerequisite(s) or Corequisite(s): ME 330.3. Note: Students with credit for ME 846.3 will not receive credit for this course.
