Represents a further study of viscous, incompressible flow focusing on turbulence. Hydrodynamic stability and the transition to turbulent flow are first considered, followed by a study of fully developed turbulence. Of specific interest is the development of turbulence models for prediction methods. A primary application is near-wall turbulent flow. Weekly hours: 3 Lecture hoursPrerequisite(s): ME 335 or equivalent.
