Students will participate in contemporary pharmacy practice in a simulated practice environment where students will begin to develop their professional identity. Students will execute basic procedures in medication dispensing, extemporaneous compounding, and application of appropriate laws and standards of practice. Students will utilize drug information skills and the patient care process to interview and educate patients about their medications and medical conditions as well as identify, solve and discuss simple drug therapy problems. Weekly hours: 3 Practicum/Lab hoursRestriction(s):Admission to the Pharm.D. program in the College of Pharmacy & Nutrition. Prerequisite(s): PHAR 190.0. Note: Students with credit for PHAR 170.3 and PHAR 171.3 cannot take this course for credit.
