Students will complete service-learning in a community-based organization to gain an appreciation of what care means to others and the barriers they experience in receiving care. These interactions and activities will provide students with an opportunity to develop and practice skills including verbal and non-verbal communication, listening, empathy, and professionalism. Students will engage in written and verbal reflection of these experiences. Weekly hours: 2 Practicum/Lab hoursRestriction(s): Admission to the Pharm.D. program in the College of Pharmacy & Nutrition. Prerequisite(s): PHAR 190.0. Note: Students with credit for PHAR 183 or 184 will not receive credit for this course.
