Students will participate in contemporary pharmacy practice in diverse practice settings within a simulated practice environment. Students will continue to develop their professional identity and build proficiency in medication dispensing, drug information skills, extemporaneous compounding, and application of appropriate laws and standards of practice. Students will use the patient care process to interview and educate increasingly complex patients about medications and medical conditions, as well as identify, solve, and discuss more complex and diverse drug therapy problems. Interprofessional experiences will enhance these learning opportunities. Weekly hours: 3 Practicum/Lab hoursRestriction(s): Completion of Year 1 of the Pharm.D. Program. Prerequisite(s): PHAR 290.0. Note: Students with credit for PHAR 272.3 and PHAR 273.3 cannot take this course for credit.
