This course will address aspects of entomology from an economic and applied perspective. Class covers topics including: survey methods, insect pest management, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), beneficial insects, pollination biology, insect derived products, and insect vectors of plant disease. Throughout the course, insect biodiversity will be addressed relative to these concepts. Weekly hours: 3 Lecture hoursPrerequisite(s): BIOL 120 and one of PLSC 260, PLSC 350, or BIOL 365.
