Emphasizes the principles of managing rangeland to ensure sustained productivity. Plant morphology, physiology, palatability, nutritional value, energy flow, and nutrient cycling are integrated and emphasized in relation to the impacts of grazing on soil-plant-animal interactions. Inventory, evaluation, and manipulation of rangeland resources are also studied. Field trips are required. Weekly hours: 3 Lecture hours and 2 Tutorial hoursPermission of instructor required.
