This course covers major historical philosophies and systems underlying the discipline of psychology. Students will be introduced to subdisciplines such as critical psychology, liberation psychology, and Indigenous psychology. Students will develop an understanding of the links between historical developments and modern psychology. Weekly hours: 3 Lecture hoursPrerequisite(s): PSY 235.3 and 12 credit units Note: Students with credit for PSY 498.3 Stories of Psychology Critical Perspectives on History Systems cannot take this course for credit.
