This course provides an overview of the history, principles & foundational values, core competencies, and social determinants of health essential for the practice of public health. The course will also focus using a “public health lens” to further explain theoretical, practical, and professional foundations of public health using a public health conceptual framework from the Canadian Public Health Association.
