This course aims to provide a deeper understanding to the fundamental concepts, schools of thought, and mystical tradition within the Islamic religion. It will examine the formation of Islam in Late Antiquity, the analyses of the Qur’an and the Hadith, the development of theology and legal schools, and the modern reforms.
