An introduction to basic concepts of human health and ecological risk assessment, and an overview of Canadian and international regulatory requirements for the registration of new products, focusing on safety assessment of pesticides and pharmaceuticals. Environmental regulations for natural resource industries, and general principles of occupational health and industrial hygiene will also be covered.
